A scholar, a musician (saxophone), a chef, a friend, Kam was all this and so much more. A key member of his high school band, Kona was a major player in the Mid States Class AAA Grand Championship his senior year as a New Palestine Marching Dragon.
An accomplished chef, having finished his cooking classes, with a smattering of business management classes nearly complete, Kam was well on his way to running his own successful restaurant, and SOON.
Kameron Andreas Womack, aka Kam, aka Kona, are names that will forever conjure memories of a most loving, energetic, enthusiastic, self disciplined, mature, caring, dedicated and intelligent young man one would ever hope to meet. Among the best of listeners, friends and family will tell you he truly cared about those he loved, which was most anyone he met.
Whether riding motorcycles with his dad, keeping the ever-watchful eye over his kid sis, tinkering on classic cars with his grandpa, wallowing in the mud at a SpikerFest, sharing tips in the kitchen with mom, or providing a shoulder to a friend, Kam was always sharing the Joy of Life with anyone and everyone around him.

We, his friends and band family, wish to honor his memory, and raise needed funds for his family, by organizing the
Kameron Womack Memorial Ride
a motorcycle (and car) tour along a favorite route he and his dad would ride (local favorite for many of us bikers),
the ride concluding at another of his favorite venues, the outdoors
(for this event, Southeastway Park, with it's many wooded hiking trails, flowing Buck Creek waters,
ground and treetop wildlife, and open meadows).
Details of the ride are linked (button) below - PLEASE be sure to register if you plan to attend,
as we must let our caterers know how many people to feed - Thank You!

High school marching band, including the program here at New Palestine High School, is NOT just an after-school extracurricular activity . . . it's FAMILY! Following are some video links, mostly related to Kona's many thousands of hours dedicated to band and his bandmates and band family - enjoy! (click the image to view the video)

"um, why 'Kona' ?"
Blame that on band dad Randy Faunce: "I first met Kameron with a 'K' at the end-of-season cookout hosted by the Garritys" (video link included above) "here's this ever-so-energetic kid running around flinging frisbies and footballs and roasting marshmallows and letting the girls braid his long, flowing locks - those broad facial features, that wide smile, the wild hair, his permanent tan, even his laid back let-everyone-have-some-fun attitude - seemed oh-so polynesian to me - a simple rearranging of some of the letters in his name, and voila' - Kona!"
The nickname, apparently, stuck, his dad even admitting to calling him by that name on occasion, "it just suits him"
