New Palestine 182 Legion & Riders Relief Efforts for the Victims of Hurricane Harvey and Irma
The All Volunteer Veteran Members of Post 182 and the Riders of Chapter 182 are gathering and pooling resources to render aid to our neighbors in the south. The members of the Post are writing a $1,000 check, PLUS whatever personal donations are collected from members and the general public (see below). The members of our Rider's Chapter are shopping for $1,000 worth of needed items (non-perishable foods, hygiene products, bleach & rubber gloves, diapers, more), PLUS whatever personal donations are collected.
Members of the Riders will spend Labor Day morning (10a) shopping for said goods at Sam's Club (East Washington), load a trailer full of food and supplies to be delivered to the American Legion Indiana Department at Fort Ben (before 2p).
You are more than welcome to join us shopping, and/or bring items, and/or bring a check - because we are all-volunteer, there are NO administrative expenses taken from your donation to us - 100% will go to support the victims in Texas and Florida. THANK YOU!
